Fancy doing something brilliant while helping women and children affected by domestic abuse in our local community?

We’ve launched our new Broxtowe Women’s Project Fundraising Pack, packed with ideas and resources to make organising your own fundraiser easier and there couldn’t be a better time to get involved, with The Big Give Women & Girls Match Fund coming up this October.

Whether you want to bake, walk, quiz, dress up, get your workplace involved or come up with something completely different, we’d love you to be part of it.

Fundraising doesn’t need to mean organising a huge event.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.

You could hold a coffee morning with friends, organise an office quiz, take on a sponsored challenge, arrange a non-uniform day at school, host an afternoon tea, hold a garden party or get your community group together for something fun.

Our new BWP Fundraising Pack has been created to help you take that first idea and make it happen.

Why fundraise for BWP?

Broxtowe Women’s Project provides specialist support to women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse across Broxtowe.

Our work helps people find safety, access practical and emotional support, reduce isolation, rebuild confidence and move towards safer, stronger futures.

By fundraising for BWP, you’re helping us continue to provide that support locally.

It doesn’t matter whether your fundraiser is big or small. A sponsored walk with a few friends, a workplace dress-down day or a community event can all help – and every person who talks about why they are supporting BWP also helps raise awareness of domestic abuse.

From 6–12 October 2026, BWP is taking part in the Big Give Women & Girls Match Fund.

During the campaign, eligible donations made through our Big Give campaign will be matched, meaning your support has the opportunity to make twice the difference.

A £10 eligible donation could become £20.
£25 could become £50.
£50 could become £100.

So, if you’ve been thinking about supporting BWP, this October is a fantastic opportunity to get involved.

Could your workplace, school or community get involved too?

Absolutely.

We’d love local businesses, schools, groups, clubs and organisations across Broxtowe to join us.

You could organise a fundraising day, challenge colleagues to complete our fundraising bingo, hold a cake sale, run a raffle, arrange a sponsored activity or create your own team challenge.

You can also support BWP by sharing our Big Give campaign with your customers, colleagues, friends and family. Sometimes simply helping us reach more people can make an enormous difference.
