Without this support we would not be able to continue to offer support and advice services for women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

You can show your commitment to ending Domestic Abuse in Nottinghamshire by supporting us through PayPal.

You can donate any amount through our Just Giving page. 

• Give £15 and provide a woman with one hour’s phone support. This could be her first time of telling anyone about the abuse and could be the beginning of a journey where she can become free from fear.
• Give £45 and provide a woman with two hours of outreach support, meeting her in a safe and confidential venue and working alongside her to establish her needs and options. This may be her only opportunity to be listened to and taken seriously. This could also help provide a child or young person with a one to one session with a Children’s Outreach Worker, giving them time and space to explore their feelings in a safe and supportive environment.
• Give £65 and assist a woman in crisis into refuge. This can take several hours of liaising with various agencies and lots of support, encouragement and reassurance, especially if there are children involved. This could be a woman’s next step to freedom.

Remembering BWP in your Will 

You can help more women, children and families survive Domestic Abuse by leaving BWP a gift in your Will.

Every gift will make a difference to a woman, child or young person who needs our support in the future, so if you’re thinking of leaving us a gift, thank you.

You could leave:

A fixed sum – You might choose to leave a fixed amount of money, which is often referred to as a pecuniary gift.

A share of your estate – For example, you could choose to leave 30% or ¼ of your estate to Broxtowe Women’s Project, once all taxes and other payments have been made. This is known as a residuary gift.

Updating your existing Will

If you’ve already written a Will, and you want to add a gift to BWP you can do this by drafting a document called a Codicil. A Codicil is simply an addition, amendment or supplement to your existing Will.

We always recommend consulting a solicitor or legal professional when completing a codicil form to update your Will.

Suggested wording for remembering BWP in your Will

If you choose to remember Broxtowe Women’s Project in your Will, we recommend using the following wording:

I give <the sum of £______> and/or <(all/specify fraction/% share) of the residue of my estate> and/or <specific item> to Broxtowe Women’s Project registered charity in England and Wales (1125946) for its general charitable purposes absolutely. I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of the said charity shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.
