World Cup Fever: Looking After Ourselves and Each Other
With the Men’s World Cup now underway, research suggests UK businesses could face increased sickness absence and lateness during the tournament, with estimates of up to 3.6 million sick days being taken and employers potentially paying more than £94 million in sick pay. While football brings communities together, major sporting events can also impact wellbeing, relationships and behaviour.
At Broxtowe Women’s Project, we’re encouraging everyone to enjoy the tournament responsibly, support one another and remember that passion for the game should never become an excuse for abusive or harmful behaviour.
