Thank you for joining us to celebrate International Women’s Day
On International Women’s Day 2022, we celebrated with a group of very special people at The Venue, in Eastwood.
BWP staff and Trustees were joined by some incredible survivors of Domestic Abuse to celebrate the collective power of women, and look back on a year of incredible achievements.
This included exhibitions at the National Justice Museum and Stapleford Library, fundraising events, a printed publication and White Ribbon accreditation. But most importantly, our continued work supporting hundreds of women, children and young people experiencing Domestic Abuse.
White Ribbon Ambassadors, the Mayor of Broxtowe Councillor Richard MacRae, Broxtowe Borough Council and local Community Police Officers also joined us for this informal, sociable and very purple celebration.
Some of the ladies we support created new art pieces, poetry and installations especially for the event, including a beautiful purple rainbow, along with affirmation statements.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made International Women’s Day so special.
