Report captures year of success
A 26% increase in the number of women supported, the recruitment of more than a dozen volunteers and development of a three-year strategic plan are among the achievements highlighted in Broxtowe Women Project’s Annual Report 2016 which has just been published.
As well as covering service performance and financial statements, the Annual Report includes a moving Survivor Story written by a BWP service user who suffered sexual abuse.
She concludes her piece underlining the importance of BWP to her, saying: “The future still looks scary at times, but potentially exciting too and again, I don’t think I would have this outlook if it wasn’t for the amazing support I have received.
“You cannot imagine what a difference BWP has made during possibly the worst time in my life… thank you.”
The report also has summaries of the year written by the Chair of the Trustees and by BWP Business and Fundraising Manager Sarah Dagley.
In her piece, Sarah says: “2016 has been an exciting year and we have achieved so much to develop and drive the organisation forward. As well as maintaining our existing outreach service that supports women in Broxtowe, we have developed new services to meet the needs of our service users.”
Although as with any annual report the document looks back over the previous year, it also includes details of ways in which the service will continue to develop throughout 2017.
Copies have been sent to funders and the Charity Commission and the report can be viewed here BWP Annual Report 2016
