Hair & Beauty professionals invited to learn how to support client health

Hair and beauty professionals across Nottingham are invited to discover how they can help their clients on personal matters including skin cancer and domestic abuse at an upcoming event.

The Free event will take place on Tuesday 29 March 2022 6:30pm at Beeston youth and community centre, West End, Beeston.

Chris Harris, Partnership Manager for local Domestic Abuse charity Broxtowe Women’s Project who will be speaking at the event, said: “Beauty professionals are unique. They are trusted by so many women, who often use the valuable time they have in a salon to talk, and share, and confide on personal matters. So it’s not surprising they often see, or hear things that worry them.”

“At this event on 29 March, professionals can join us to learn more about how to help their clients, specifically on skin cancer and Domestic Abuse, while networking with other hair and beauty professionals.”

The event is being organised by South Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Partnership, Nottingham West Primary Care Network, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Broxtowe Borough Council.

Skin Cancer awareness and prevention will be provided by Skcin – a specialist skin cancer charity that work closely with at risk and influential audiences including primary schools and nurseries.
